Abstract

Polysemy is one of the fundamental characteristics of artistic language in poetry. The polysemy of aesthetic signals in folk songs arises from the interplay of language, cultural elements, context, and the interpretation by the receiver. Folk songs are not merely simple melodies; they are artistic compositions rich in multiple layers of meaning. The article discusses the foundations of polysemy in aesthetic signals in South Central folk songs, highlighting characteristics such as artistic thinking, content, text, and text reception. It creates a distinction in the symbolic meaning of aesthetic signals in South Central folk songs relative to those from other regions.
