THE ART OF FOLK POETRY IN THE SOUTH-CENTRAL REGION OF VIETNAM AND ITS REGIONAL CULTURAL IMPRINTS

Abstract

On the basis of a survey of 4,537 verses, the article analyzes a number of typical artistic aspects such as motifs, rhetorical measures (word order, word separation, steering), harmony and witty and humorous tone of SouthCentral Song Dao. The results show that these artistic techniques not only create unique aesthetic values but also reflect the cultural identity of South Central residents; at the same time, they affirm the unique position of the South Central Song in the treasure trove of Vietnamese Song and Dao and provide a scientific basis for the teaching of Literature.
