ANALYZING THE COMPETITIVE CAPACITY OF TRANSPORT LOGISTICS INDUSTRY IN VIET NAM’S SOUTHEASTERN REGION

Abstract

Logistics is the effective link of an economy with the rest of the world, as logistics involves in nearly all commercial activities. In fact, transport logistics has significantly contributed to the development of Southeast region which is the most dynamic economic region in Vietnam, but has been facing numerous obstacles, such as: institutional fragmentation in planning and developing logistics cluster, limited human resources, the lack of collaboration between firms, SMEs with limited capital. Based on the rigorous analysis, the article suggests some possible solutions: improving the quality of human resources through cooperation between schools and foreign enterprises; strengthening the collaboration between enterprises by enhancing the role of associations and enrolling more foreign enterprises; minimizing institutional fragmentation in logistics development in Vietnam.
