LITERARY MEDIEVAL FEATURE IN HO BIEU CHANH'S NOVELS

Abstract

Ho Bieu Chanh was one of the first modern writers in Vietnamese modern literature. He himself was aware of innovation in literature in the first place. However, because of the history in which there was the combination of East value and West value, his literary works were still affected by medieval literature writing characteristics. In this scientific paper, literary medieval feature in Ho Bieu Chanh's novels will be clarified in terms of the novels' structure and content.
