STATE OF AFFAIRS OF EPIDEMICS DURING THE NGUYỄN DYNASTY (1802-1883)

Abstract

The epidemic was mentioned in many historical sources of the Nguyen dynasty, but so far, because of many reasons, this topic has not gotten the attention from domestic and foreign scholars. Therefore, the research sources on this topic are not very rich. Based on the exploitation of the original source from Dai Nam thuc luc and the related research results, the article has deepened the cause, concrete manifestations as well as the consequences of the epidemic, to provide for the researchers of the panorama view of the the epidemic situation under Nguyen dynasty (1802-1883).
