MULTICULTURAL FAMILIES AMONGST THE CHINESE ETHNIC COMMUNITY IN SOUTHERN REGION NOWADAYS

Abstract

Nowadays, the population of the Southern region includes many ethnic groups, mainly the Kinh, Khmer, Chinese, Cham and indigenous ethnic minorities in the Southeast region (Cho Ro, Ma, Stieng and Mnong). These ethnic groups converge into units of relatively concentrated ethnic group. Many cultural exchange activities have taken place during the process of community settlement, at the same time interethnic marriages have also taken place, creating many multicultural families. The article analyzes the characteristics of multicultural households in the Chinese community based on the results of the research "Marriage, family and kinship relations of ethnic minority communities in the Southern region" .
