Abstract

In the Oc Eo culture, tin-lead relics of many different types were commonly used in residents' social life. The article approaches this from the perspective of social life, such as crafts, trade, daily life, beliefs, and religions, based on the tin-lead relics collected during the 1944 excavation by L. Malleret, artefacts discovered after 1975, and related artefacts in Southeast Asia, as well as historical sources as a basis for research. The most prominent groups of tin-lead relics are those related to trade and exchange, jewellery, and religious and belief practices. At the same time, the development of tin-lead handicrafts plays an important role in the economy of the Oc Eo cultural residents in the Southwest.
